“Real recovery isn’t a few days of rest. It’s enough time to actually reach what’s underneath the tiredness.” — Emmy Suwunnakul, Co-Founder, Kiyora Spa
Program Description
Nine days, built entirely around one belief: real recovery works with your energy, not just your muscles. A four-part Chakra Journey moves you through all seven energy centres — grounded from Day 1 with Shungite Crystal Grounding & Chakra Purification (also known as Crystal Bed Therapy), and deepened with EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) at the heart, throat, third eye, and crown. This is the most complete energy work Kiyora has ever built into a single retreat.
And underneath all of it, real bodywork and real nature. Breathwork and meditation at a quiet stretch of the waterfall. Gentle hiking and forest bathing before it — proven to calm the nervous system and lower cortisol, not just a walk in the woods. Yoga, paired with Tibetan singing-bowl sound healing, twice through the week. And a second, entirely different kind of sound therapy at the waterfall itself — the water’s own sound, in a hammock, on your own time.
The spa side of this retreat is built specifically for burnout, not just relaxation. Your own aromatherapy roll-on, blended by hand on Day 1, is tuned to your cortisol pattern by day and your melatonin response by night — a real tool for teaching your body to downshift out of fight-or-flight, not just something nice-smelling. Your personalised herbal tea, blended at your very first consultation, works the same way from the inside — yours every morning of the retreat. And your personalised herbal steam does real physical work too: supporting detox from whatever medication or stress has built up in your system, and easing the muscle stiffness that comes with it. Every treatment in between is sequenced the same way: working the nervous system, not just the muscles.

HOW YOU’LL FEEL
- By Day 1 — grounded before the day even ends: Shungite Crystal Grounding & Chakra Purification, then a full Chakra Journey session paired with the Earth Detox Ritual.
- By Day 2 — Yoga paired with Tibetan singing-bowl Sound Healing closes the day, teaching your nervous system what “off” actually feels like.
- By Day 3 — EFT and the Heart-Opening Crystal Journey work on your heart and throat together; guests often describe this as the point something genuinely releases.
- By Day 4 — gentle hiking and forest bathing calm the nervous system before breathwork and meditation at the waterfall.
- By Day 5 — free time at the hammock brings a second kind of sound therapy: the waterfall itself, self-guided, entirely on your own time.
- By Day 6 — back at the spa after two days in nature, treatments continue and Yoga & Sound Healing return in the evening — the day closes with real free time, space for your body to properly recover from the hike and the village stay.
- By Day 7 — EFT again, this time at the third eye and crown, paired with Lanna Herbal & Crystal Fusion.
- By Day 8 — a morning at Doi Suthep, Chiang Mai’s most sacred temple, gives you room to receive and release everything the week has opened up.
- By Day 9 — all seven chakras, brought together in one closing session. You leave recalibrated, not just rested.
IS THIS YOU?
- You’re a high performer or executive whose stress has moved past “tired” — sleep, digestion, focus, all quietly off, and you know it’s your nervous system now, not your willpower
- You’ve taken the vacation, used the PTO, came back just as exhausted — because rest and recovery were never the same thing
- You’ve been carrying more than your job — caregiving, family, a business, all at once — with no real pause built in anywhere
- Your burnout has become physical — tight shoulders, disrupted sleep, muscle pain that won’t shift — not just a mood you’re in
- You’re navigating a season — perimenopause, a health scare, a major transition — where standard advice to “rest more” clearly isn’t enough
- You want real energy work — Chakra Journey, EFT, crystal grounding — not just a nice add-on to a spa week
- You believe healing needs nature, not just a treatment room — forest, water, sound
- You want to be genuinely known, not processed through a generic wellness package — four guests, never a crowd
- You’re ready to go all the way through it, not just dip a toe in
BECAUSE NOTHING HERE IS GENERIC
A real Chakra Journey, not a single session repeated. Four sessions across nine days, each covering different chakras, each paired with bodywork chosen to match — building toward a whole-body closing session on Day 9.
Shungite Crystal Grounding & Chakra Purification — also known as Crystal Bed Therapy. Never offered separately — one combined session, opening the retreat on Day 1 and closing it again on Day 9.
EFT — Emotional Freedom Technique — woven into the deeper sessions. Paired with the heart/throat and third eye/crown work, addressing what’s held emotionally, not just physically.
Yoga, always paired with sound. Every yoga session in this programme closes with Tibetan singing-bowl Sound Healing — never yoga alone.
Two kinds of sound healing, not one. Tibetan singing bowls in the spa (Days 2 & 6, with yoga), and the waterfall’s own sound as therapy during free time at the hammock (Day 5) — different tools for different moments.
Breathwork and meditation at the waterfall. A quiet, less-visited stretch — not a tourist stop — used specifically for nervous system regulation.
Gentle hiking and forest bathing. Proven to calm the nervous system and lower cortisol — clearing the senses before the energy work goes deeper.
Sound healing that uses the water itself. The waterfall’s own sound becomes part of the therapy, not just a Tibetan bowl in a treatment room.
Your aromatherapy roll-on is built for cortisol and melatonin. Blended in the Day 1 workshop — a morning blend to regulate cortisol, an evening blend to support melatonin — a real tool for teaching your body to downshift out of fight-or-flight.
Your tea, blended once, carried through the whole week. A personalised herbal tea formulated at your very first consultation — helping you adjust from the inside out, every morning, not just on the treatment table.
Your herbal steam works harder than it looks. Personalised to your body, it supports detox from whatever medication or stress has built up in your system, and eases the muscle stiffness that comes with it — real physical work, not just a warm room.
Every spa treatment is chosen for burnout, not just relaxation. Herbal steam, deep tissue work, facials — each one working directly on the nervous system, sequenced to help your body physically relearn what “off” feels like.
Your own energy-clearing mist, made by hand. The Day 3 workshop pairs a herbal balm with a mist you formulate yourself — yours to keep using long after you leave.
One night, genuinely in Mae Taman. Guests forage their own dinner from the garden, cook it over charcoal, and sleep in a village house — not a day-trip, a real stay.
Nothing goes to waste. The next morning’s breakfast uses what’s left from dinner — rice, herbs, whatever remains — cooked again, Lanna-style.
A dedicated day to receive and release. Day 8’s visit to Wat Phra That Doi Suthep isn’t sightseeing — nothing is scheduled afterward, so guests have real space to sit with everything the week has stirred up.
The take-home plan is never automatic. Whether you leave with a planner depends on what came up in your Day 1 consultation and what you’re actually working toward — not a generic kit handed to everyone.
Never more than 4 guests. Energy work this personal isn’t possible at scale.
“People come to us tired all the time. What this retreat gives them is enough room to ask what the tiredness is actually about — and enough time to let the answer land.” — Emmy Suwunnakul
