Program Description
Burnout doesn’t announce itself. It arrives slowly — in the quality of your sleep, the sharpness of your patience, the emptiness behind a full calendar. By the time most people arrive at Kiyora Spa, they’ve been running on cortisol for months.
This retreat doesn’t ask you to slow down and hope for the best. It works directly with your biology — your cortisol and melatonin cycles, your vagus nerve, your lymphatic system, and your body’s deep need for grounding. Every element of the three days has been chosen for a specific clinical reason, not just for indulgence.
You’ll arrive in Chiang Mai, check into your private boutique room, and within hours be formulating your own personalised morning and evening aromatherapy roll-ons with Emmy — blends tuned to your cortisol pattern (to calm the nervous system during the day) and your melatonin response (to signal your brain that it’s safe to sleep at night). This single act of making something for yourself, by hand, with intention, begins the shift.
Over the three days, your body will move through crystal grounding, herbal steam detox, deep therapeutic massage, a Thai-Ayurveda facial designed to release the vagus nerve, breathwork in nature at a private waterfall, and a final Deep Sleep Restoration treatment on your last afternoon. You will leave having given your body something it has been asking for.
This retreat is limited to a maximum of 4 guests to ensure every experience remains personal, unhurried, and genuinely transformative.

Your Host — Emmy Suwunnakul

Emmy Suwunnakul is the founder of Kiyora Spa, Chiang Mai’s boutique holistic wellness spa, and has been practising and teaching wellness for over 12 years. Born in Thailand and raised in Melbourne, she brings a genuinely bicultural understanding of healing — drawing from Thai traditional medicine, Ayurveda, herbal therapy, and aromatherapy, grounded in evidence-informed Western nutrition and anatomy.
Her credentials include: Certified Aromatherapist · Facials & Swedish Massage Trainer · Crystal Healing Practitioner · Thai & Western Nutrition Level 1 · Herbalism · Ayurveda (currently studying). She is also the creator of Em Organics (a botanical wellness product line) and Kiyora Craft (an aromatherapy education brand).
Emmy personally leads all workshops, consultations, and closing evaluations for retreat guests. All spa treatments are delivered by Kiyora Spa’s trained therapists under her direct guidance.
“I built this retreat because I’ve sat with hundreds of depleted people over 12 years, and I know what actually helps. Not a massage alone. Not a yoga class alone. A specific sequence of interventions — for the body, the brain chemistry, and the spirit. That’s what these three days are.”
